Introduction

Space computing is quite complicate because it is a general concept. It refers to a wide range of technologies, not just one or two.

In the age of space computing, people are moving from how we interacted. With static computers in the past to how we engage with today’s fascinating and immersive technology. Space Computing explains how we dig deeper and deeper into the world of computers instead of just interacting with them from a distance.

For example, around 53 million Americans currently own at least one voice search smart speaker. We are also getting used more. And more to using augmented reality filters on Instagram or Snapchat or implementing virtual reality in our games.

Thanks to space computing, we are bringing the real and digital world together in a much more meaningful way than ever before. Our reality and the IT landscape are closely linked.

Extending Reality With Space Computing

Virtual reality and augmented reality are maybe the two most closely associated with spatial Computing. Space computing enables developers and designers to explore the world of “augmented reality” or mixed reality, in which we manipulate digital information in a non-digital format.

It is possible to add aspects of the digital world to our natural environment with augmented reality. For example, you can use an app on your cell phone to set up a new cabinet from a home furniture store and see what it will look like in advance.

Augmented reality offers a valuable way to bring two pieces together in a way that encourages better understanding. Aircraft maker Boeing, for example, has used basic AR technology to help engineers determine where the wiring should go inside an aircraft. The result of this recently improved workflow was a 30 percent improvement in wiring installation times. In addition, the company reduced the number of mistakes made by employees by 90%.

Space Computing: Beyond Augmented Reality And Virtual Reality

Space computing is more than just AR and VR. However, these two technologies are the easiest way to understand how people can enter the digital world for many people. Spatial Computing offers a wide range of technology options to get you start, from haptic feedback systems to advance Computing, machine learning, robotics and IoT. However, outside of these tools, there’s a lot more to augmented reality that we haven’t yet explored.

In the future, you could use space computing to provide immersive training sessions for team members using traditional training methods that you have used in the past. Alternatively, with advanced Computing and 5G, you can bring in-depth experience on portable devices for remote workers.

Space Computing Is Changing The World

There is an incredible variety of possibilities in the space computing environment. And as technology develops so does our ability to access the digital world. There is no doubt that until 2020 we will continue to see many long-established companies. And startups offering IT software solutions focused on advanced workflows, immersive training, office productivity, design visualization, etc.

You don’t need to be convince that one day you and your teammates will wear smart glasses. And headphones to work and realize the value of spatial Computing. This technology is already changing the way we live, work and learn today. Self-driving cars are gaining more and more importance. Advanced robotics provides each of us with a virtual assistant in our own home. The elements of it are already pouring into all aspects of your life.

Why Have We Not Yet Fully Embraced Space Computing?

So if space computing is so unique and a more comprehensive range of companies produces the technology. While there are some aspects of augmented reality and virtual reality that we can enjoy in today’s landscape. From smartphone apps to gaming headsets, we haven’t embraced as much technology as we could have.
